Why Meals Often Fall Short

Nutritional Needs Across Ages

Children & Teens (10–18 years):

Protein (~1 g/kg/day), healthy fats for brain health, carbs for energy and focus, fruits/vegetables for immunity, and hydration for stamina. 

Adults & Working Professionals (19–49 years):

Protein: 0.8–1 g/kg/day (general), up to 1.4 g/kg/day (athletes). Balanced meals for energy, metabolism, and focus; anti-inflammatory foods for recovery. Practical strategies include portion control, batch cooking, and quick menus.

Elders (50+ years):

Protein up to 25 g per meal to counter muscle loss, nutrient-dense and fiber-rich meals for heart and bone health, portion control to support digestion, and micronutrients like calcium, vitamin D, B12, and magnesium.
